Home Shows Anyone?

Sunday June 25, 2006
A good discussion in the forum this week about selling at home shows. Selling through this venue can be a great, inexpensive way to get the word out about your crafts while making a tidy profit at the same time! If you have any advice for others about this way of marketing crafts, add them here or in the forum!

I’m wondering from those who have gone this route, what the best timing for a home show is? Friday evening? During the day like a garage sale? Weeknight evening? What’s your experience?

I inquired doing a space at a home show in Las Vegas NV and found that it was very expensive. Could you suggest a promoter that covers Home shows that is reasonable?
In Florida or Las Vegas?

I would stay away from the garage sale audience! I tried that once- most people are looking for the cheapest find out there! Summers aren’t a great time to sell most crafts either. I found that pre-Holiday sales yield the greatest return! Even one a few weeks before Christmas before Christas for all the last minute shoppers!

Can someone give me a lead on locating a listing for homeshows in Missouri & Illinois?
