Determining Your Target Audience

Sunday September 10, 2006
An important aspect to selling handmade items is determining your target market so that you can pick which venues to sell your products. If you are selling high-end ceramics, you will do much better at an art/fine crafts show than at a street festival. Likewise, if you are selling hand-made pop-guns and dream-catchers, you will be wasting your money by attending a fine crafts event. For these types of products, try festivals and traditional craft bazaars to find your target buyers.
