Licenses For Sports Logos

Sunday February 4, 2007
A discussion in the forum this week is all about licenses for recreating sports teams logos in your crafts. This is one of the big no-nos in copyright violations. You MUST receive written permission from the owners of the copyrighted logos before using them in your work. The people who license sports logos are very strict on usage of their material and most of the time you will find that it's not worth your time or money to try to obtain permission. A work around would be to use the colors of the uniforms, but not the actual logo itself.

Can I use US postage stamps in my art for resale, or is that a copyright infringement?
