Hiring A Sales Rep

Sunday August 12, 2007
A good sales representative can really boost sales for crafters who sell to wholesale buyers. But an experience with a bad rep can become a nightmare. Make sure you always check references from anyone who wants to sell your crafts for you. And make sure that you have a written contract that states how much of a percentage a rep will make and how many samples they will be carrying. Also, be sure it is written in your contract when samples will be returned to you (and in what condition) and any penalty fees that will be incurred if samples are not retuned in a timely manner.

Does some one have an example or know where we can buy a sales rep agreement? I drafted one I am fairly comfortable with but you make a good point about penalties if not returned in a timely manner.
