Ways To Have A Bad Show
Sunday September 23, 2007
One sure-fire way to guarantee that you will have a bad show is to set up late. And if setting up late doesn't help drive
away possible customers, make sure you leave late each day of the event! Also, make sure you do not bring enough merchandise
to fill your display and when customers come into your booth ignoring them with also help you fail at the show! What are some
of the things you have seen other crafters do at shows that can guarantee failure?

I’ve had many crafters that are next to me or close by ask me to watch their botth for a few minutes. Not once but numerous times each day. It costs them by running off to do something and costs me to help their customers as well as mine. Stay in your booth and have help when you need to leave for a bit. it will save all of us money.
Look excited and happy to be there! Last weekend I went to check out a jewelry and beaded art show that I would like to participate in next year. Out of the 25 or so vendors, all but 6 or 7 looked like they would rather be some place else. There were a few people who appeared to be lacking a pulse! A couple were even sleeping! I found I was drawn to those who looked and acted excited to be there, or they seemed approachable and friendly. Dress your booth up too! Most of the booths were set up like it was a garage sale. Again, I was drawn to those booths that were visually appealing as well!
