Online Craft Malls

Are online craft malls profitable for anyone other than the person who runs the online mall? Very many crafters are finding that it is better to sell your crafts on your own through a Website versus selling through an online mall. However, if the price is reasonable and the site owner gets the traffic with paying customers, it very well may be worth selling through one of these venues. What has been your experience in selling though an online mall?

Opening a craft shop in a mall is an inexpensive way for crafters to show their crafs to a worldwide customer base, but the crafter have to remember that to be successful online they have to promote their own business.
