Being a Good Neighbor

Sunday January 13, 2008
It's important to help out your fellow crafters when you can. One of the simplest ways to be a good neighbor at shows is to simply follow the rules. Stay in your allocated space. Make sure you do not arrive late or close early. And make sure your customers do not overlap into your neighbor's space.

There’s a lot more to add. I think vendors/exhibitors need to review applications and contracts to refresh their memory before a show to know what is expected of them. Offering a helping hand or offering ideas to resolve issues is another way to help. A perfect example could be when one person doesn’t allow enough room to get in and out of their space - that person needs to change their display, not the neighbors. Having a neighbor help shifting things, with the vendors permission, may be a great way to show you are able to help.
