William's Arts / Crafts Business BlogMistakes to Avoid Selling CraftsWhen starting out selling crafts, there are some common mistakes people make. The biggest is under pricing work. If you do not
pay yourself enough in your pricing, you may find that you are working for pennies an hour. Believe me, it happens too
often... Another pitfall to watch for is attending the wrong types of shows. If you are selling low cost products that have
mass appeal, then street festivals and flea markets might work for you, but if you are selling high-end one-of-a-kind artwork
you should primarily attend fine craft and art shows.
