Lorri Mealey, About.com Guide to Restaurants has a great article up about opening a pop up restaurant. The reason I am mentioning it in the arts and crafts site is because many of her tips can be applied to pop up arts and crafts businesses.
I've written three articles about opening a pop-up arts and crafts shop. Basically, a pop-up is a short-term retail space that appears seemingly out of nowhere, quickly drawing in customers, and then disappears when the optimal selling season is over. Using pop-ups shops are a great way for artists and crafters to have a retail presence during major selling periods during the year.
