Up until now, I didn't realize where these doodles came from - throughout the year, the Google logo seen on Google's homepage varies based on special events and people. Once a year, Google gives K through grade 12 students across the U.S. the chance to display their own Google doodle through the Doodle 4 Google contest.
The 2013 Doodle 4 Google contest has announced calls for entries for "My Best Day Ever...". The artist will both see their doodle displayed on Google's homepage in May and also receive a $30,000 college scholarship and a $50,000 technology grant for their school.
Students can submit doodles until March 22, 2013 and Google will announce a winner from every state on May 1 st. For more information, visit: google.com/doodle4google.
