Alternative To Canopies
Sunday October 7, 2007
The outdoor show season is quickly coming to a close. However, there are still a few outdoor events happening and if you do not have a canopy the weather could get nasty this time of the year! Make sure that you have some sort of protection for your valuable display and merchandise if you get caught outside during bad weather. A high-dollar canopy is not always the only way to go. If you only attend one or two shows a year, you may be able to make do with an inexpensive tarp or cover that you bought for a few bucks at a discount store. Plastic sheeting can also help cover a booth in a pinch. The important thing to remember is to have something available to cover your booth, should you need it!

We invested in one of the quick pop-up canopies and it’s been well worth the investment. Zip it up for the night or in bad weather and that’s it.
We’ve also been using it in the front yard on weekends we don’t have a show we have signs similar to a yard sale but arts and crafts. We’ve gotten a great response and several people have asked when we will be doing it again.
Tarps and plastic are ‘cheap’ but if at all possible the $150 for a 10 X 10 is well worth it.
We got a fantastic Pop Up canopy and the shipping was pretty inexpensive. It’s worth the $150 or so because it takes only a minute to set up or take down. It was a much bigger hassle dealing with plastic sheets and stakes.
