Customizing A Contract

Sunday December 30, 2007
There are tons of ready-made legal contracts for things like buying/selling a car, a boat, a motorcycle and other things to that nature. However, what do you do when you need a contact for say a commission on your crafts? Or perhaps a contract for a sales representative who will be receiving an inventory of your crafts? I recommend looking for an attorney who specializes in contracts. If you look around hard enough, you may be able to find someone in your area who has worked with artists. These simple contracts you would have created should take too much time for an attorney who works in this type of law, so it shouldn't be too expensive.

There are non-profit lawyers for the Arts in several states. Go to these places for great advice regarding anything from copyright laws to contracts to well, just about anything that requires legal matters and the arts. They are great and some info (like general questions) are free.
