Attending craft shows is the number one way craftspeople sell their products. Here are some steps to take that will make your first show a snap!

Here's How:

  1. Find show to attend.
  2. Request an application from event promoter.
  3. Fill out application.
  4. Send in application and any applicable fees.
  5. When accepted, pay remainder of fees.
  6. If necessary, make lodging reservations.
  7. Produce enough inventory for show.
  8. Prepare booth display.
  9. Pack display and inventory.
  10. If traveling far, tell loved-ones when expected arrival is.
  11. Travel to event.
  12. Call loved ones when you arrive.
  13. Check in with event promoters.
  14. Set up display.

Tips:

  1. Ask other craftspeople about the best shows to attend.
  2. Start off with local shows to save on travel/lodging expenses.
