How to find Local Craft Shows

Local craft shows are a great way to get started selling your crafts. Here’s how to find out about local craft events near you.

Difficulty Level: easy      Time Required: 30 minutes to several days

Here's How:
  1. Contact nearby malls to see if they will have any upcoming shows.
  2. Contact Chamber of Commerce to see if any members sponsor craft events.
  3. Subscribe to publications that feature craft shows with rankings.
  4. Search through local newspapers for upcoming shows.
  5. Ask local craftspeople about any local events they attend.
  6. Search the Web for craft events in your area.
  7. Contact local churches to see if they sponsor any bazaars.
  8. Contact community organizations for information on craft sales and flea markets they are involved with.
Tips:
  1. Some of the best shows you will find will be the ones recommended by fellow craftspeople. Take advice from others seriously!
  2. If you live in an extremely small community, you may want to try searching for events in neighboring towns.
