BEAUTIFUL ATMOSPHERE AND FABULOUS HALL. The show was not well advertised in 2004. The cost of the booth, plus hydro, plus table rental did not balance out with crafts sold. If it is not promoted better, it will be lost in years to come.

FALSE ADVERTISING!!! The show was advertised as a general crafts and bake sale but hardly any crafts were sold. The organizer was manipulative in saying that Christmas items would sell well as many weren't even touched. It seemed like more of a family event for organizers than a public event, although the show was publically advertised. Most crafters sat at tables for six hours having sold little to nothing. Crafters were not told that some well-known, highly competitive companies would be there leaving crafters almost unnoticed.

Only one crafter had returned from the previous year (2002) which tipped the rest of us off that it was not going to be a successful weekend. Their website boasted an attendance of over 100 000. However this was before the Fort Erie Friendship Festival had moved from the Mather Arch to the race track. Honestly it was more like 300 people that even walked through the craft area - this in 3 days! It was awful - I will never go back as a vendor nor will I attend.

I gave the norton group a few chances. One chance in Ancaster and two in Dundas. I will never return. The traffic was next to nothing and there was no promotion other than a sign out front. It was supposed to be a juried show but there were items at some booths that I have seen at the dollar store. It was a flea market atmosphere. Some vendors did not retun after the fist day and the rest of us packed up at 2:30 on the second day as there was no traffic at all. After talking with the vendors from some of the other Norton Group shows I would have to sat that they all sound the same. - BAD.
