Comments: The event is held outdoors in a dirty field that has no grass. The winds blew over tents and craft items. Even when wind wasn't blowing the traffic caused dirt to fly everywhere. At the end of the day my face and scalp was black as if I'd worked in a field all day. Vendors asked at 5:40 if we could load our crafts in our trailor and was told if we could haul it out the gate by 6pm, if not they were locking the gate and your stuff would have to stay out in the high winds and dirt flying on it. We busted out butts as fast as we could to get everything out in 20 minutes. The promoters rode around and smartly asked do you thing you will be finished by 6, if not it's going to have to stay. The told us (several vendors) no one was allowed to drive in the gate to load up. But, with each load we took out we would have to move over, because they'd be letting a vehicles in the gate so they could load up. Every time my husband would haul another load out one promoter would harrass him and say "hurry, hurry, your wasted time. My husband had about all he could take from them and told them if you locked our crafts in and won't let us get them--you better call the law, because I'm getting in that gate to get my stuff. By morning I wouldn't have had anything because the wind had already blew several tents over that day. A few minutes later a cop showed up. On our last load out we were almost ran over by a vehicle they were letting come in the gate and my husband asked why they were letting them in when they said no vehicle allowed in to load. Now keep in my how they'd harrass you while you were about to give out from hauling your stuff out and reminded you how your stuff was going to be lock in by 6pm. One of the promoters lungged at my husband and yell for the cop to arrest this man I'm about tired of him. The vice president stepped up and I can't remember what was said next. But, we told them we wouldn't be back and every crafter would know about how nasty they were and how dusty and dirty the location was. I hope I save one vendor from having to go through what we went through with these promoters. Even though, they state this is hand made only--it's mostly flea market vendors selling avon, sunglasses and buy sell accessories. Now I know why they don't have many true crafters.
