Comments: Although it is a very dirty atmosphere with the dirt flying around everywhere, it was a great show. The weather was gorgeous and people turned out in record numbers. There was buy/sell, and when I asked the person in charge of this, she said that she let crafters in first and to fill in, in order to have a full show, let in buy/sell. Not that I begin to like this, that's the way it is at most of the shows now. Grass had been planted and was coming up, but not enough to cover the field. I havne't been that dirty since I was 10 years old! But they are trying.
After reading the other Claxton listing, I can see where they would be upset, but it all could have been avoided most likely with zip walls on the tent and closing everything up to protect it from the wind and sand. After all, we are supposed to be prepared for any kind of weather. The promoters were very helpful and courteous to all of us. I was near the entrance gate and saw vendors come and go and they did what they could to help anyone out. They have made great progress from the last time I did the show 5 years ago and I look forward to going back again.
