Comments: As we all know, doing a show is lots of hard work. The reason I decided to make this my 2nd show was b/c I thought that the average attendance was approx 6K people (from the listing) NOT EVEN CLOSE! I sold the same amount at this show as I did at a much smaller fire company show I did last month, and I found my first wholesale customer the following day who took lots of my product in 10 minutes and paid my "wholesale" rate - I earned more in 10 minutes than the first 2 hours at the show and I didn't have to set anything up! I also got orders for more product and even some display items!
I was also told by other crafters tha spring and summer shows are not as profitable as the fall and winter shows. Several at this show even told me that with gas, hotels etc... this show cost them more than they made! I would definately NOT do this show again. Even the one person in direct competition with me was rude and obnoxious! I did share that with a promoter and she told me that the other person will not be invited back! I have NEVER met anyone in competition with me that was so MEAN! :(
