What Types of Arts or Crafts do you Handcraft?
I have always liked to craft with whatever was handy. Several years ago I learned a painting technique which I enjoy very much. I got certified by Donna Dewberry to do her One Stroke technique. I taught One Stroke painting at a craft store for a year which kept my urge to paint under control.
Do you Sell Wholesale or Retail?
I decided I better try to paint something I could sell instead of filling my house with stuff. I saw somebody's old window that they had painted and that was it. I started locating old windows and saving them from the landfill. I clean them up and then paint flowers on them. Once a year I have a booth at an outdoor craft show to try to sell my windows.
Lessons Learned
- I am learning that I need to follow my own imagination and desires when I paint instead of trying to figure out what someone else might like.
